In the story ‘Tarun’ and ‘Anchal’ are the male and female protagonists of the Novel. The story starts in a hospital where Tarun is admitted for his Nasal bone surgery, and he makes a video call to Anchal with the help of his Bua after three months since he had talked with her.
Then Tarun recalls his memories from the first meeting with Anchal to when Anchal left home.
Tarun signed up to a matrimonial website ”Jeevansathi.com”, and found a mutual match named Anchal from Patna, Once he sees the similarities with Anchal, he decides to talk further. After dating for six months, both decide to get married. Still, Tarun’s conservative family is never ready to accept this alliance, and it takes another three months for Tarun to convince his family. During the dating period, Tarun finds Anchal short-tempered, but Anchal’s soft and baseless talks fascinate him, and he starts loving his innocence and falls in love with her.
Duo gets engaged in Patna gets married after 5 months, and shifts to Preet Vihar in Delhi. There Tarun brings a lovely cat as a pet in the house, and both name him Tim-Tim. Anchal always teases Tarun for loving Tim Tim more than her, which he takes lightly.
The story takes a u-turn when Tarun buys a house in Pune as requested by Anchal, but Anchal does not believe in the existence of the house, and he fails to verify this with his source; later, Tarun tries to explain to her that he has bought the house with a different name to save her from hurdles of formalities, but Anchal refuses to listen and starts alleging him for using the money for his expenses because Anchal had also borrowed loans for the house but the truth is The house still exists.
Anchal suddenly leaves home at a night without informing Tarun and stops responding to Tarun. He tries reaching out to Anchal for six months and later decides to show the story to the world if she is not ready to listen
In the story, Anchal’s brother ”’Reyansh”’ and her mother ”’Lakshmi”’ have a very dark role in destroying a relationship. Other people like Aakriti, Arun, Drishti, Anchal’s father, Relatives, and Tarun’s ex-employee are also significant.
