Navi Mumbai, 8th March 2023: The Cultural Committee of NMIMS, Navi Mumbai is delighted to announce the yearly edition of their highly-anticipated college festival, Tvaran 2023. The three-day festival will be held on March 2nd, 3rd, and 4th and will feature a range of exciting events from the fields of management, sports, finance, technology, and performing arts.
This year’s theme was “Memoirs of a Lost Pirate”, with a captivating storyline of a cultist group, Pirates of Tvaran, who are on a journey to capture loot and discover ancestral treasure. The pirates’ quest will take them from the East of Japan to Europe, facing daunting challenges such as Rocky Mountains, Samurais, Horrific Demons, Hieroglyphics to solve, and exotic creatures to dodge.
Tvaran 2023 promises to be a celebration of cultural diversity, with participants from top colleges across India and dignitaries from the corporate world. The festival aims to provide a memorable experience for spectators and organisers alike.
Over 3,000 attendees were expected from various colleges like D Y Patil University, Amity University, and many more who were a part of the exciting and diverse line-up of events, including music, dance, drama, and sports, organised by the Cultural Committee. The festival will also host dating events, delicious food stalls, game stalls, small businesses, and an impressive line-up of artists and entertainers throughout the duration of the fest.
“As the committee head of Tvaran, I am excited to bring together a diverse range of talents and skills from across the country,” said Dr. Ruchita Verma, Dean, NMIMS School of Hospitality Management. “With my solid academic background in hospitality and design, along with 30 years of experience working in the field, I have seen the importance of creativity, innovation, and collaboration in achieving success. Tvaran is an opportunity to bring these values to the forefront, showcasing the best of Indian culture, art, and design. As a researcher, I understand the importance of academic excellence and I am committed to ensuring that Tvaran is not only an exciting event but also a platform for learning and growth It is a platform for students to apply what they learn in classrooms in real-life scenarios. I believe that with the right vision, leadership, and teamwork, Tvaran, has the potential to inspire and empower the next generation of Indian artists and designers.”
Speaking about the festival, Rohan Khanna, President of the Cultural Committee of NMIMS, said: “We are thrilled to present Tvaran 2023, which promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
