The Indian Premier League (IPL) 14th season kicked off in Mumbai and Chennai, with the eight teams playing their first two matches. After the first week of the IPL 2021, here is how the individual tallies and points table look.
Orange Cap
There was a shift in the Orange Cap list, as Faf du Plessis climbed to the top with another fifty points in the tournament. In six matches, Du Plessis has accumulated 270 runs. Shikhar Dhawan of DC is in second place with 265 runs.
KL Rahul, the captain of PBKS, is in third place with 240 runs at an average of 48. Glenn Maxwell of the RCB is fourth with 223 runs. With 218 runs in six games, Jonny Bairstow rounds out the top five.
Purple Cap
Harshal Patel of the Royal Challengers Bangalore currently wears the Purple Cap. In six games, he has 17 wickets. With 12 wickets, DC’s young pacer Avesh Khan is second, while SRH’s Rashid Khan is third with 9 scalps.
Rahul Chahar of the Mumbai Indians is fourth with 9 wickets, while Chris Morris of the same team is fifth with the same number of wickets.
CSK is the top position from all teams. Then RCB, DC, MI, KKR, PBKS, RR and SRH carry last position.
