Today is the day when we all come up with varied ideas on how to make our mothers feel special and loved. We put in a lot of efforts on searching the perfect gift for her and planning the day in a manner that brings a smile on her face. But have we ever tried to dive in deep into our mother’s thoughts and figure out as to exactly what kind of significance does this day hold for her. But before we delve further into this aspect, let us hold back our thoughts for a moment and firstly put the spotlight on the person who is the reason of our existence. Mother is the one who always puts forth her child’s happiness and desires, even if it means forgetting her own dreams and individuality. This stands absolutely true, because she is the only one who feels the happiest on being addressed as ‘Maa’ and not for being known for who she is as an individual. She is a protector, who always goes an extra mile to shield her child from any kind of difficulties. She is the one who understands her child’s unspoken words and has the magical power to bring about a ray of sunshine during the dark hours. Not to forget, it’s her prayers that always keep the child encircled in a protective layer. Look at her magnanimity, that inspite of going out of the way to make her children the centre of her universe, she never complains, when the same children tend to become occupied in their own world. For a mother, even this day is dedicated in finding contentment in those things that her children feel would make her happy. If we really wish to appreciate our mothers, then we should make efforts to make her feel special on each and every day. Spending time with her, listening to her heartfelt emotions, showing concern and respect towards her, these are the simple gestures that bring her a sense of merriment. Though our affection would always fall short in front of the unconditional love she showers upon us, but the least that we can do is to accord her thoughts and happiness a voice that always remains unheard amidst her selfless gestures of endearment.
