Reviewing this book, “Unseen Battles Behind Russia-Ukraine War” by Author Dr. Rahul Yadav has been quite an informative experience for me. As the book has not only covered the present war scenarios between the two nations of Russia and Ukraine but has also presented a detailed historical data of Europe and the world too. However, the overall theory of warfare is not presented in a neutral manner and wars are criticized way too much in this book. From the readers’ point of view, the book certainly looks very informative but at the same time, an impression is created that the state of Russia has been excessively put under the scanner.

Readers Connect: Now here comes the tricky part, as the book seems to be really awesome at some places and not so at other places. Well, the good thing is that the Author has presented a great deal of historical events, which has not been taught as the part of mainstream history but holds a great significance. This detailed information consists of the several wars, which have shaped up the history of Europe, Asia and the World. In addition, the readers can also find some more information about the crusades and the presence of maps in the book makes it a great read for sure.
However, the beginning of the book is creating a very different impression where it seems that the book is favoured towards a particular side in the war between Russia and Ukraine. The initial philosophy by the Author over the war may look good in bookish terms but does not seems to hold much potential in the practical world. The author has criticized war way too excessively and had painted a very negative picture of the war, this may look good in a book but for the military personals this can be very demotivational. Everything should not be painted either as black or white as there are some good aspects in everything. It is true that nobody wants war but if your enemies are creating threats for you then you do not keep armed forces just for show off. Peace comes with power and the one who hold power can ensure peace in a region for long term, one should see the greater picture. Therefore, the book may seem bit shortsighted to certain group of readers due to these reasons!
