1. Akhila Saroha: I would like to begin by congratulating you on the publication of “Asha: Shabdo ki Abha.” How has the response to the book been so far?
Rajeev Ranjan Shukla: Thank you very much….. this book will be very popular among the readers of poems
2. Akhila Saroha: What led to the idea of writing “Asha: Shabdo ki Abha”? Were there any events that inspired the work?
Rajeev Ranjan Shukla: My father …….he was a chemistry professor but was interested in literature and my mother was a Sanskrit teacher. I was also a student of science but I have a deep interest in literature. My father inspired me to write this book. This dedicated to him.
3. Akhila Saroha: How easy or difficult was it for you to decide the placement of poetry in “Asha: Shabdo ki Abha” and keep it simple to understand for the readers?
Rajeev Ranjan Shukla: My poems are my feelings. I have given words to feelings. I have tried to touch every subject but the core of all of them is the same, be it festivals, environment or children’s poem
4. Akhila Saroha: What are your views about present-day writing? Do you think it does complete justice in depicting human nature in the light of “Asha: Shabdo ki Abha”?
Rajeev Ranjan Shukla: I like today’s poet. They are realistic and in colloquial language.Their poems are wonderful. today’s poems are easy and this ease is their beauty.
5. Akhila Saroha: “Asha: Shabdo ki Abha” shows the uniqueness of your style of writing. Are there any authors that you enjoy reading or any books which are your favorites?
Rajeev Ranjan Shukla: I have put my feeling into words. I like poetry whether it is Dinkar’s or Maithili Sharan Gupta’s
6. Akhila Saroha: How would you categorize “Asha: Shabdo ki Abha” as its appeal seems to be to a broad audience?
Rajeev Ranjan Shukla: My poems are for every class. It is written in simple language and it is easily understood by the readers. Through these poems I have tried to connect with the people directly.
7. Akhila Saroha: “Asha: Shabdo ki Abha” has given a powerful introduction to your potential as a writer. Can the readers expect more from you in the future? Please share about your future projects.
Rajeev Ranjan Shukla: “आपातकाल में सृजन” is my first poetry collection. This is my second book. More poems will come in future.
8. Akhila Saroha: What is the story behind the title of your work, “Asha: Shabdo ki Abha”?
Rajeev Ranjan Shukla: Interest in literature…….. poems are the best medium to write about Nature, relationships and feelings. Poetry is the medium to express my emotions.
9. Akhila Saroha: Of all the modes of writing, what made you come up with the idea of writing in poetry form in “Asha: Shabdo ki Abha”?
Rajeev Ranjan Shukla: Poems have become a powerful medium of conveying messages in every Era. Poems attract every class in every Era whether it is a king or a subject.
10. Akhila Saroha: In the present time, the ideas in “Asha: Shabdo ki Abha” do not find much mention. What, according to you, could be the possible reason
for that?
Rajeev Ranjan Shukla: In the present time natural imbalance has become the reason for many disasters. I want to maintain the balance of human and nature…… we should protect our traditions… perform the rituals ….and help keep our earth save and green.
11. Akhila Saroha: If you were to describe your book “Asha: Shabdo ki Abha” in a few words without giving any spoilers, what would those words be?
Rajeev Ranjan Shukla: मेरी अंतर्यात्रा
