The Literature Times: Welcome to The Literature Times, author. Congratulations on the release of your book. Tell me about your book. What responses are you getting from your readers?
Niharika Chaturvedi: Thank you so much for your wishes and for featuring my interview. My latest book Sukhiya Ki Duniya is a one-of-a-kind Hindi children’s book and aims at teaching children the art of happiness and positivity. Sukhiya Ki Duniya is about a character named Sukhiya who symbolises happiness and can be a happiness mascot for kids. “Sukhiya Ki Duniya” has been written with an ambitious vision of helping raise a happier and a more positive generation and rerouting children’s inclination towards our national language, Hindi.
Sukhiya Ki Duniya has been created keeping in mind a few essential things necessary for future generations. The world today is full of stress & anxiety, which will only increase if kids today are not taught to live differently. Differently because somewhere, we have lost our natural way of living. Sukhiya, the happiness mascot in the book Sukhiya Ki Duniya will teach kids, not only the art of staying happy in any situation but also the fact that staying happy should be the natural way of our living.
I am getting amazing responses for my book, especially from parents, mothers and women. The readers seem to be aligning with the book’s objective of teaching kids positivity at a tender age and how important it is to teach them young, considering the world today needs positivity, hope and happiness more than ever.
The Literature Times: Tell me a bit about yourself. What encouraged you to become an Author?
Niharika Chaturvedi: I am an Author, Entrepreneur, Success Principles Trainer, Law of Attraction expert, IIM alumna and Founder of AttrAct (a venture that empowers people to live better and more positive lives).
I always loved writing. As a kid, I used to write short stories and poems. Before my first book “Law of Attraction; It works through you” came out in 2019, I used to write blogs and short stories. I believe, my love for writing was inspired by my grandfather. My grandfather, Acharya Pt. Sitaram Chaturvedi was a famous author, dramatist, scholar and his exemplary work and extraordinary dedication inspired me to become an author and use a pen to change the world for the good.
The Literature Times: What are your favorite topics of writing?
Niharika Chaturvedi: I love to experiment with my content and writing style and can’t say if any specific topic is my favorite. My first book was on the concept of the Law of Attrcation and how that concept can be used to lead an extraordinary life, my second book is a children’s book about a happy little girl’s adventures, my podcast stories are usually thrillers. So, it’s not a particular topic I love writing about. It all depends on what I feel like writing in the moment.
The Literature Times: We were hoping you could tell us about some of those writers who had inspired you and whom you follow!
Niharika Chaturvedi: My favorite writers are Jane Austen and J.K. Rowling. The work of Jane Austen has been extraordinary and so progressive for her times. I used to sometimes read her books and then just stare into the wall to absorb the beauty of her writing. But it’s sad that Jane Austen was under-appreciated during her lifetime and was not recognised for her great works. Her work was not widely appreciated until after her death. I believe in today’s time, most of the female authors aspire to become as great as Jane Austen.
And of course J.K. Rowling’s work and contribution has been mgnificent and will keep inspiring generations to come. Not only her rags to riches story is truly moving, her books series I feel is the best of the book series of all times. The way she wove her magic into this imaginary world of magic, it blows my mind.
In the self-help genre, I love Dr. Joseph Murphy (favorite book: The power of your subconscious mind), Dr. Joe Dispenza (favorite book: Becoming supernatural) and Wayne Dyer (The power of intention) and Jack Canfield (Chicken soup for the soul series). These are are some of the life-changing books that I feel everyone should read once in lifetime.
The Literature Times: The titles seem different and catchy; how you decided it? Please let us know the story behind it.
Niharika Chaturvedi: Sukhiya Ki Duniya is a story that revolves around a happy little girl Sukhiya & her delightful adventures. Sukhiya symbolises happiness. She knows the art of being happy and staying positive in any circumstance and has increased the happiness quotient of her village! Hence the name I decided for her is “Sukhiya” derived from the word “Sukh” meaning happiness.
The Literature Times: Tell us something about your writing career.
Niharika Chaturvedi: My first book as an author is Law of Attraction; It works through you. The book emphasizes our role in directing the Law of Attraction to work in our favor. The book will help the readers in making Law of Attraction works wonders for them. After I learnt the concept, I started using the Law of Attraction consciously to begin with and through years of learning, applying, failing and applying again, I eventually started to witness my life transform in outstanding ways. Today I can say that the impact of applying the Law of Attraction in my life has been monumental. That cultivated in me, a deep desire to share with others the answers I have found in the process of using Law of Attraction. That was the motivation behind my book “Law of Attraction; It works through you”.
Sukhiya Ki Duniya is my second book and the first children’s book of the series. Sukhiya Ki Duniya, I feel is more like explaining the Law of Attraction concept to kids and teaching them the fact that once you start finding happiness everywhere, happiness will find you. Apart from teaching happiness and positivity, Sukhiya will also teach kids the power of other attributes like, living in the moment & being grateful for what we have, being content, turning an adverse tide to finding the brighter side to life, respecting nature & its ways, respecting elders & our culture and visualising & attracting happiness. The book Sukhiya Ki Duniya, in a way will help children learn vibrating at a higher frequency, something that’s not taught in schools.
The Literature Times: What is your current goal in writing career? How do you see your future in writing?
Niharika Chaturvedi: My current goal is to reach out to maximum number of children and help parents raise happier and more positive kids. My vision for Sukhiya is to make her someone idolised by children as the happiness mascot who symbolises positivity. Sukhiya can be their superhero whose superpower is to spread laughter and happiness. Sukhiya can also be a catalyst in inculcating values in our children & from very tender age help mould kids into fine human beings.
In future I see myself writing monumental books that create an outstanding impact on the readers and help in raising a more positive and happier generation.
The Literature Times: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects.
Niharika Chaturvedi: I am currently working on the sequels to Sukhiya Ki Duniya and also working on various other mediums to reach the maximum number of children and teach them the art of happiness.
The Literature Times: How easy/ difficult it was for you to publish your book? What message would you like to give to budding authors?
Niharika Chaturvedi: I believe nothing is difficult when you really want to do something. You will find ways and the ways will find you. So, never give up on your dream of writing a book and becoming an author because your dreams rely on you. And if you truly want to express yourself through your book, trust me things will start to align with your dreams.
