Author Bio: The author Lieutenant Mohan Singh Bath is an ex – Artillery Officer who served in 1962, 1965, 1971 wars. Received a Vashisht Sewa Medal for his role in OP (operation) ‘Mere Sanam’ in 1977 while officiating officer commanding of an Artillery Regiment.
The Literature Times: Author, welcome to The Literature Times. Congratulations on the publication of your book! What feedback do you get from your readers? Please share your thoughts on this book.
Author: A few readers who knew me well have given good comments and congratulated me. I am no author as such and this particular book is a result of my personal experience and observations of 62 war with China.
The Literature Times: What motivates you to become a writer?
Author: As I said I amno writer. Its only I wanted to highlight the events of our personal experience. The introduction says it all.
The Literature Times: What are your favourite writing topics? Please tell us a little bit about your literary interests.
Author: I like reading books of historical or of military subject as well as any other good book I come across. No writing topics as such.
The Literature Times: We were hoping you might tell us about some of the authors that have influenced you and who you read!
Author: I like old writers better than modern ones. There are many English writers of the past that I like – but Rudyard Kipling stands apart.
The Literature Times: The title is unique and appealing; how did you come up with them? Please tell us the story behind it.
Author: The title is simple as I have written mostly about what I went through in my training days and 1st year of my service spent in NEFA.
The Literature Times: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.
Author: This is the first and the last experience as I don’t think I can write any more at this age.

Author: I have no goal in writing or any future in it.

Author: No, nothing at the moment.
The Literature Times: How do you view Indian writing in the twenty-first century? What changes do you see in today’s writing style? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?
Author: Yes it has been changed by the time. There are many fiction writers today but they are no where close to the old masters.
The Literature Times:How simple/difficult was it for you to publish your book? What message do you want to send to aspiring authors?
Author: It was very simple to publish this book. It was done in a short time. The print and paper is very good and easy to read.
