The Literature Times: What inspired you to write Kitani Mohabbat Hai and explore the theme of love intertwined with fate?
Aarya: For a long time, I wanted to write a story which would show different forms of love where love gradually makes a place in one’s heart since childhood. Where the confusion of hearts and the depth of love are shown.
The Literature Times: Your novel depicts a relationship that evolves from animosity to deep affection. How did you approach developing the characters and their transformation throughout the story?
Aarya: This was a bit difficult and challenging for me. Because I had to show their journey from irritation to hatred, confusion to love and I couldn’t miss even a single emotion, so I tried to connect the story with reality and tried not to leave anything missing.
The Literature Times: Can you describe your writing process for this book? How did you balance the elements of romance and the looming threat of death?
Aarya: While writing a story, one has to pay attention to many things. While writing, I also tried to ensure that my readers can feel the emotions of the characters in the story and their relationship slowly progresses in a natural manner. An attempt was made to make her feel the fear of loss along with the feeling of love. It was a bit challenging to maintain a balance between love and the fear of death, but what is love without the fear of loss? Love that does not have to be fought for can never be true love.
The Literature Times: The idea of predestined connections is central to your story. How do you view the role of fate in personal relationships, and how does this perspective influence your writing?
Aarya: I believe wholeheartedly that luck plays a big role in the lives of us humans. We meet many people in life and we get some learning and experience from everyone. Similarly, who comes into our life as our life partner and how long the relationship lasts is also written in our destiny. And my all stories are based on this perspective.
The Literature Times: Your prose is quite evocative and lyrical. What role does language play in your storytelling, and how do you ensure it resonates with readers?
Aarya: I have been writing on pratilipi for years and as I have heard from my readers, my way of writing is simple and such that readers can connect with it and feel the emotions that I want to convey to them. My words reach their hearts and that is why they like to read my stories.
The Literature Times: Kitani Mohabbat Hai has been well received by readers. Are there any particular reactions or feedback from your audience that have stood out to you?
Aarya: I can’t tell about any one but most of the readers have commented that the story is very beautiful despite being very simple. Every emotion has been depicted very beautifully. And also a request has been made to write more such stories.
The Literature Times: As a writer who began on Pratilipi, how has your journey evolved from your initial stories to this novel? What have you learned along the way?
Aarya: When I started my journey on Pratilipi , I simply gave a chance to my childhood hobby. Initially there were some shortcomings in my way of writing, which I corrected with time and tried to make each of my stories better than before. But what remained consistent during this period was my passion for my writing career. And from this journal of mine, I learned that I should keep moving forward while trying to improve myself and try to convey my feelings to the hearts of my readers.Whatever you write should have a lesson for the society and you should be satisfied with it. If not today, then tomorrow success will kiss your feet, you just have to try with all your heart and passion.
The Literature Times: Can you discuss any challenges you faced while writing Kitani Mohabbat Hai and how you overcame them?
Aarya: It was a little difficult to show the complexities of their minds at the beginning of their relationship at different stages and their changing feelings along with it and as always I reduced those difficulties by putting myself in their shoes.
The Literature Times: How do you balance the exploration of deep emotional themes with creating a captivating and engaging narrative?
Aarya: Along with conveying the emotions of your character to the readers, keeping them connected to the story and tying them in an unbreakable bond with the characters, it is very important and also difficult. But when your readers become so attached to your characters that they start feeling their joys and sorrows, then your hard work is successful. Therefore, it is very important to express emotions through right words and my only effort is that my readers not only read the story but also get so attached to it that they start imagining themselves in the place of those characters.
The Literature Times: What message or feeling do you hope readers take away from Kitani Mohabbat Hai? Are there any specific themes you wanted to emphasize?
Aarya: Through my story, I want to tell people that true love supports you in your difficult times by becoming your courage and if you have such love in your life then you should value it. If we talk about the theme of the story, the whole story revolves around death, fate and love. This makes it clear that if you are destined to be with someone then even death cannot separate them from you and love has so much strength that it can give a new life to the dying person, we should not lose hope.
