Prof. S M Hanagodimath, a renowned academic, has mentored many students throughout his career. One of his notable mentees, Dr. Shivaleela B, has made significant contributions to the field of physics. Dr. Shivaleela completed her M.Sc. in Physics from Gulbarga University in 2015, earning four prestigious Gold Medals for securing the first rank. She qualified for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) in 2016 and was awarded her Ph.D. in August 2022 under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Hanagodimath. With over two years of teaching experience at the postgraduate level and extensive exposure to undergraduate teaching as per the NEP 2020 syllabus, Dr. Shivaleela has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to education. Her academic achievements include the publication of her first book on Electricity and Magnetism and 24 research articles in Scopus-indexed and UGC Care List journals, as well as conference proceedings. Furthermore, she has received numerous accolades, including first prizes in poster and oral presentations at national and international conferences. Her areas of research include fluorescence spectroscopy, computational chemistry, and radiation physics.
