Questionnaire– For Author R. Chaitanya By Neel Preet
Neel Preet: Congratulations on your book, “Dar Ke Aage Jeet Hai – Sacchi Ghatnao Pe Aadharit!” Can you please share your experience about this book!
R. Chaitanya: Thanks a lot.
I relived the moments when I wrote the numerous accounts of National Bravery Award winners. It was an excellent experience.
A lot of research was required. I spent a lot of time and energy compiling the incredible stories. I wholeheartedly want every child to read this book at least once.
Neel Preet: What inspired you to write this book and what is the impetuous behind this work of yours?
R. Chaitanya: I believe that the current generation lacks a variety of experiences necessary for the growth of moral, emotional, and ethical values. I discovered that these tales were making up for our lack of reading and elders’ story-narrating habits.
Neel Preet: Are there any researches been made by you in the making of this remarkable title?
R. Chaitanya: Yes, a lot of study was required for this project. I had to conduct a unique search for each and every story. Many websites had lists of the winners’ names, but it was difficult to find their images and stories. I’m glad to see those stories collected in one book after much time and effort.
Neel Preet: What outcomes would this title provide to the readers of the current generation?
R. Chaitanya: Speaking about bravery and courage is one thing, but acting courageously and completing difficult things is quite another.
The modern generation talks a lot about courage, but when it comes time for them to act, they back down.
Actual events will be presented in this book. This will increase their courage, boldness, and spirit.
Neel Preet: Can you please tell us your overall aim to create a book like this, in your words?
R. Chaitanya: To instil a spirit of bravery and fearlessness in the next generation, especially the kids.
Neel Preet: What inspires you to write and what are some of the greatest highlights of your writing journey?
R. Chaitanya: For me, writing is the process of making my own world. It’s an incredible sensation whenever I build something from scratch.
It’s my universe, and I make my own small nest. It satisfies me. It give me completion.
Neel Preet: Among the several writers and authors, who are the ones to inspire you enough to pick up your pen and start writing yourself?
R. Chaitanya: James Clear’s “Atomic Habits” was a book I recently read and enjoyed. I appreciate Munshi Prem Chand and Robert Browning.
I do, however, have a kind heart and welcoming eyes for any aspiring writer with a fascinating subject.
The simplicity of Mahatma Gandhi ji’s “My Experience of Truth” really struck a chord with me. I have a great deal of respect for writers who express their ideas without experimenting with difficult vocabulary and sentence structures.
Neel Preet: What are those messages that your book conveys to your readers?
R. Chaitanya: We have got only present moment in our hands. Live it, like it, be grateful for it and enjoy it. That’s all.
Neel Preet: Are there any other books from your side that we will get to see in the future?
R. Chaitanya: Yes, I am working on a novel, “The making of Mahatma”. As far as I can see, it is going to be the best.
Neel Preet: My sincere thanks to you for creating such a marvellous title & for answering all these questions. Best wishes for the book and to you!
R. Chaitanya: Thanks a lot. Answering your questions worked great for me. It gave me the opportunity to introspect.
