The Literature Times: Welcome to The Literature Times, author. Congratulations on the release of your book. What responses are you getting from your readers? Please share your experience with this book.
Author: I had no idea that I would get such beautiful words of appreciation from my fellow readers. I’m very elated to finally exceed my expectations as they say, my poems give them positive energy and flourish with high brevity. I detect diverse circumstances in my virtual life for being a genocide survivor, victim of love, crazy about exploring the mysteries of nature and social phenomena. I collect emotions, perceptions and experiences and then present them to the universe in the form of poetry. All these things turned into a book in itself and I became a published author for my hard work.
The Literature Times: What encourages you to become an Author?
Author: To be frank, I’m madly in love with reading books. I’m fond of reading poetry since childhood. The way my teachers recited poetry in school with such sweet melodious voices, it felt like I was an owl, listening with all my attentions with a longing heart. I read and read and read the poems of great poets then I too started writing. All these great poets, circumstances of my life and childhood aspirations inspired me to be an author.
The Literature Times: What are your favorite topics of writing? Please tell us something about your interest areas in the literature.
Author: The Ocean, Pain of the victim, A good and bad dream, Climate change, An imaginary place, Mother’s Affection, Night time, Growing older, Falling in love, Getting lost something and etc. Interest areas in the literature: Poetry, Fiction, nonfiction, novel, prose and other genres.
The Literature Times: We were hoping you could tell us about some of those writers who had inspired you and whom you follow!
Author: No doubt to say Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī is my all time favorite poet, Shakespeare, William Wordsworth, Rabindranath Tagore, modern author J.K Rowling and many other poets whom I follow online and offline.
The Literature Times: The titles seem different and catchy; how you decided it? Please let us know the story behind it.
Author: The title POETIC HEALING is very much relevant to the book. It unravels the mysteries of nature and the author’s own life. I was beautifully broken and writing these poems have allowed me to work towards a place of healing. So I’m sure the readers won’t regret and can bring peace within their souls after savoring the poems.
The Literature Times: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.
Author: My first book of poetry, “Reflection of Life” was published in April 2022. I’m an international award winning poet. I have been awarded certificates, and have won poetry contests from many different platforms. I have co-authored several international anthologies. In addition to this work, my poems have appeared in various literary journals and many academic magazines. When I’m not working on my writing, I enjoy traveling and photography.
The Literature Times: What is your current goal in writing a career? How do you see your future in writing?
Author: I think writing is not a career but I would definitely say it’s a passion. I have a keen interest in writing poetry, fiction and non-fiction. My goal is to reach milestones by writing and publishing poetry books. My future is unknown but I see a better future in my writing.
The Literature Times: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects.
Author: My first book “Reflection of Life” was published in July 2022 before this book “POETIC HEALING”. I planned to write many books in the future.
The Literature Times: How you see Indian writing in the 21st century? What changes do you see in the modern way of writing? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?
Author: I’m not an Indian, I’m from Myanmar. I think more has altered than before. I love modern way of writing than ancient way. I also like the old fashioned way. I literally feel it has been changed by the time.
The Literature Times: How easy/ difficult it was for you to publish your book? What message would you like to give to budding authors?
Author: It was quite difficult for me to publish my book, I suffered a lot mentally and emotionally to present this book on the publisher’s hands to put it out globally/worldwide. I feel I’m very fortunate to have an amazing friend, Jerry, who has helped me through this process. I’m so grateful to you. I would tell budding authors to keep going ahead by ignoring the buzz.
