The Literature Times: What motivates you to become a writer?
Author: I was an introvert all my life until I discovered that the best way to speak and express is to write. I find immense joy in creating writing pieces. It gives me the power to portray my thoughts and imaginations on a paper exactly the way I want to do it. Writing is both power and responsibility for me to create lively and inspiring write ups and stories.
The Literature Times: What are your favourite writing topics? Please tell us a little bit about your literary interests.
Author: For me life and destiny are two such topics that amuses me. I can write on and on about life, purpose and destiny. It intrigues me a lot. I am highly inspired by inspirational and motivational non fictions. According to me, those writings are so powerful and transforming that they can change the entire mindset of a person. I am more into non fictions which inspires and guides in real life situations.
The Literature Times: We were hoping you might tell us about some of the authors that have influenced you and who you read!
Author: I love the writings of Joyce Meyer, Rick warren, Joel osteen, Stella Dhinakaran. I can go on and on with the list in non fictions. In fictions I really like Sally Rooney, one of my friends gifted me the book. And just for light stories offcourse the legendry R.K. Narayan. All of the names I have mentioned have different writing styles and that is what amazes me about writing that it can have so many facets to it.
The Literature Times: The title is unique and appealing; how did you come up with them? Please tell us the story behind it.
Author: The title, ‘When it Feels Right’ is basically the conclusion of the book. As this book is a complete non fiction, I wanted to keep the title real and authentic to what the content of the book carries.
The journey in the book is my journey to find myself, it is inspired by my true story. So, it was quite obvious in my mind that I needed to keep the title entact with the versatility and also with the conceptual root.
The Literature Times: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.
Author: My first book is ‘The confused Mind’, for which I have been nominated as the Emeging author of the year in Ukiyoto Literary Awards 2022. The Literature Times: How do you view Indian writing in the twenty-first century? What changes do you see in today’s writing style? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?
Author: As far as I remember reading the stories in childhood, it represented more of family life, friendships and struggles. In twenty first century the writing has profoundly shifted to criminal fictions, horror fictions, romantic fictions and complex dramas. It has delved more into open and realistic non- fictions. Now writers not only write the happy stories but also the harsh realities unleashing the power of pen. As truly said ‘Pen is more powerful than a sword.’
The Literature Times: How simple/difficult was it for you to publish your book? What message do you want to send to aspiring authors?
Author: Book publishing with Astitva has been a ravishing experience. They are so supportive and easy to work with. They understood my needs and curated their service according to my convenience.
Message for budding authors is simply, ‘Believe in yourself even if nobody else does. Always remember that you are unique and you can create masterpieces. Don’t compare you work with others. Do your best and God will do the rest.’
