The Literature Times: Welcome to The Literature Times, Rakhi. Congratulations on the release of your book. What responses are you getting from your readers? Please share your experience with this book.
Dr. Rakhi Sharma: Thanks Actually it’s going great, people gave me such a good response and reviews on Paresha Zulfon Sa Ishq.
The Literature Times: What encourages you to become an Author?
Dr. Rakhi Sharma: Life, ups and downs. actually I am a bit shy to say anything in front of people or I would say that any other person, so I chose to write whenever I want to express my feelings and emotions. It’s comfortable and easy way to express in written words than verbal words.
The Literature Times: What are your favorite topics of writing? Please tell us something about your interest areas in the literature.
Dr. Rakhi Sharma: All emotions such as joy, sorrow, love, hate, patriotism. Other than that are women, nature, old myths and truth.
The Literature Times: We were hoping you could tell us about some of those writers who had inspired you and whom you follow!
Dr. Rakhi Sharma: Actually I don’t follow anyone but I read and like the most of my brother Er. Gourav Sharma’s Poetry after that Jaun Elia, Piyush Mishra, Geet Chaturvedi.
The Literature Times: The titles seem different and catchy; how you decided it? Please let us know the story behind it.
Dr. Rakhi Sharma: Actually it’s all about love and its phases, how you love someone, trust someone and then broken into pieces and then you create a new person a strong one who is a fighter. A fighter of your emotions and negative feelings. It’s kind of a Uncombed hairs (metaphor) situation of a person’s mind and heart and how he/she moved on.
The Literature Times: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.
Dr. Rakhi Sharma: I am not a famous writer or a big author of very successful books. I am just a common person who writes when she gets upset about something and could not tell what she is going through. So if we are talking about the achievements then I have many more ears to listen my poetries and that’s a big achievement for me.
The Literature Times: What is your current goal in writing a career? How do you see your future in writing?
Dr. Rakhi Sharma: I have no goals in writing career because it’s not a work for me it is more of a peaceful thing for me, I write to be with myself and to be calm, I always make me remember that point that If life gives you pain turn them into words and write a poem, be poetic not pathetic.
The Literature Times: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects.
Dr. Rakhi Sharma: Not now, but yeah definitely I’ll write about the truth of universe and in a mythological way.
The Literature Times: How you see Indian writing in the 21st century? What changes do you see in the modern way of writing? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?
Dr. Rakhi Sharma: In my opinion or in my view there is no any new changes which can be made-up for nowadays, everything is already written down in most sophisticated and different ways in a beautifully arranged alphabetical phenomenon. We are just following them and creating new ones from the old dilemmas.
The Literature Times: How easy/ difficult it was for you to publish your book? What message would you like to give to budding authors?
Dr. Rakhi Sharma: This is the most important thing you just asked, I wanted to be a published author for long time but couldn’t trust any publication. Then I found Evincepub Publishing and oh my god… their quick responses, homely behaviour and calming replies it was like we were preparing a book in home like this. Thanks for everything they done for me and for the ‘Paresha Zulfon Sa Ishq’, without them it was quite impossible to get published in such a good way.
